Seesaw: The Learning Journal

I happened upon this digital portfolio software called Seesaw and thought of numerous benefits to those teachers who like to make student work available online and to parents in a protected environment.

Seesaw is a free iOS app and web-based software that gives teachers the ability to easily create a class and curate their student's work.  It gives students the ability to quickly and easily upload their physical and digital work to their account.  Additionally, parents can create an account and receive notifications when their child's work has been posted.

My attention is immediately drawn to the art teachers who could greatly benefit from this service.  Even though the online digital portfolio market is saturated, there seems to be very few, if any, that are designed for the K-12 environment in mind.  This service provides teachers and parents with the peace of mind knowing that the student's work is in a safe, secure online setting.
