Socrative Gets an Upgrade!

A recent upgrade to the fantastically-designed formative assessment app, Socrative, has left many critics speechless.  For the naysayers that said it couldn't do everything they wanted it to it's hard to find any faults now.  I just hope that it remains free!  The two newest updates involve being able to upload/insert images into formal quizzes that you create and being able to input possible answer choices to short answer questions and letting the software grade them for you.

Personally, I love the upload/insert images feature.  The educational application is limitless.  If you have a complex question that requires special characters or text not normally allowed by the simple text editor, then this is your solution.  Create your complex question in a different piece of software, take a snapshot of it, and then upload that image as the question.  Using an image in conjunction with a text-based question is another obvious application of the new feature.

In order to get these two new features, Socrative requires you to complete your teacher profile (which you need to create first) by answering a few questions, which can be done here.

If you haven’t already been introduced to Socrative…do so…you won’t regret it!
